Bursaries

Apply for an ITR bursary

Are you an emerging student with interests in the arts? ITR Theatre has a bursary for you!

 

Purpose of the Bursary:

If you have a passion for the arts as we do, you may be the recipient of a $1,000 bursary toward your education. The purpose of the fund by ITR theatre is to continuously support up and coming local artists in the areas of general theatre, acting, theatrical production, editing, artistic drawing, animation and/or video. Moreover, this specific bursary is aimed to help deserving students of the arts from the Osgoode or Rideau-Goulbourn Ward to continue their education and also an opportunity to be an active part of the ITR Theatre community.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must:

  1.       Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status;

  2.       Be a resident of the Osgoode or Rideau-Jock Ward

  3.       Be accepted into and attend* a post secondary arts program

  4.       Specialize in acting and/or directing, video editing, production, animation or fine art OR have volunteered with ITR or any other community theatre group(s) and demonstrate, via your essay, a continued commitment to supporting community theatre.

Frequency of the award: Annual
Application deadline: April 1, 2024


APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Applications must be made by submitting the following documents to presidentitr@hotmail.com by the Application deadline
date:

1.      A Curriculum Vitae including any volunteer arts experience

2.      A 1,000-word maximum written summary of how this bursary will help your studies and why you have a passion for the arts.

*should the recipient postpone attendance for a year, they would need to return the bursary and re-apply the following year
