This show is a madcap re-telling of Doyle’s classic tale The Hound of the Baskervilles. Sherlock Holmes is on the case. The male heirs of the Baskerville line are being dispatched one by one. To find their ingenious killer, Holmes and Watson must brave the desolate moors before a family curse dooms its newest heir. Watch as our intrepid investigators try to escape a dizzying web of clues, silly accents, disguises, and deceit as five actors deftly portray more than forty characters. Does a wild hellhound prowl the moors of Devonshire? Can our heroes discover the truth in time? Join the fun and see how far from elementary the truth can be.

ITR is seeking 5 actors to tackle this exciting play to play the following roles-

Sherlock Holmes- Does the World’s first Consulting Detective need any introduction?

Doctor John Watson- Sherlock’s faithful friend and our storyteller

Actor Chorus *3 parts in the chorus*- 3 actors will be playing 38+ characters, switching most scenes and sometimes even in the middle of the scene! These characters range from “Trap Driver” and “Maiden” to some classic names Doyle fans will recognize like Mrs.Hudson and Inspector Lestrade. These roles are a challenge for any character actor, switching genders, switching accents, and switching hats!

*We will also be looking for 2-3 chorus/stage hands/puppeteers that will be a part of the living set and dynamic scenes with lots of opportunities for storytelling, even if they don’t have any lines in the script.

Director’s Note: Sherlock, Dr.Watson and 2 out of the 3 Actors are written in the script as men, and all parts have a stage age of under 50. I encourage anyone who does not see themselves represented in these parts either in age, gender, or physical appearance please submit anyway- there is lots of magic to be made in this show and everyone has something to bring to the table.
