John Cook

John Cook, the playwright and also the director of The Rooftop Guy, has been involved in theatre for close to twenty-five years as an actor, playwright, director, producer and artistic director.

John has written for both community and professional theatre companies including Tale Wagging Theatre, Plosive Productions, Vintage Stock Theatre, and East End Theatre. He has also written humour columns for a variety of newspapers and magazines.

His previous work in the director’s chair was in two productions by Vintage Stock Theatre, a community theatre company based in the east end of Ottawa and known for its historically based performances.

John is a member of the Playwrights Guild of Canada and Arts Network Ottawa.
